    Lenght of hoisting lugs?

Does anybody have a specification on the lenght of the front and rear hoisting lugs.
Its not mentioned in my original manual, 2003 SAN210.
On vacation to put it in the lake, they used 2 under the belly lugs, not my favorit.
Lugs are quite cheap i want to buy a set.

    Thanks
    Jos

    Jos,

Perhaps something is being lost in translation. Can you provide a photo or better description of what you are looking for. In the US, a lug is generally a term used for studs/bolts and the nuts to hold them on. For example we refer to lug nuts as the devices that hold the wheels onto the hub. I'm having trouble visualizing what you are looking for. BKH

        RE: Lenght of hoisting lugs?

        Thanks for your help.

Normally we trailer the boat in and out of the water.

On the Italy vacation a harbour crane is used to lift the boat into the water.

So I would like to now the lenght of the ropes / belts to be used. This lenght should be known or by CC or by anyone having such a set. Lifting it with the use of the boats lifting rings.

Due to center of gravity to the rear of a 210 i want to be sure, the boat should be in balance so near as horizontal as hoisted. This for next year 2009.

If you are talking about a single point lift...I think that is the wrong thing to do. I don't believe there should be any lateral pull on the rings.

You need two separate slings...probably matched length. Length tbd depending on crane(s).

What Airtool says. Two seperate slings are indeed the best. If you use this, the distince should be 6,10mtr like Quinner said.
When using a single point lift in combination with the lifting rings the forces can be quite a lot on your stringers/polyester and cause possible gelcoat cracks...
