You should have let me talk to him! BTW, my buddy that might want to trade the 220 is coming to ride Thursday. Could do you some good to get me the numbers we talked about.

Has anyone had any experience with the 230/236 as far as recreational skiing. We have
demoed the X15 great wake surf/wakeboard wake but the ski wake at 30mph was steep
and a little high. The Malibu 23lsv was better for skiing and very good wake surf/wakeboard.

I currently own a 2006 Wakesetter VLX that is up for sale and I'm between tree different boats - Mastercraft X-15, Nautique 230 Team or the New Malibu Wakesetter VLX. I have owned 6 Malibu's and every three years when I go to make a new purchase I really check out the big 3 and try and spend a day on the water in each boat using it as I currently use mine. I just had an X-Star for the day and hated it, I will be have a 230 Team on Thursday night and Friday and then have a Wakesetter VLX over the weekend and then finish by research next week with an X-15. I'm really looking forward to getting inside the 230 to see how it handles. I didn't purchases a Natique on my last purchase because the 220 that I was in was by far too weight sensative. Please help me with any information that anyone has

I've also been wondering if anyone has slalomed behind a 230.

I felt that the stock weight on the X-Star wasn"t really that good and I understand that the boat is meant to be weighted (If I was to purchase I would install the pro tour ballast). My wife and I felt that the sundeck is WAY to big and therefore the main cabin is two small compared to my current boat. The boat drove like a pig, I really didn"t like the driver seat and lack of full swivel.

I've skied behind the 230. You can do it recreationally, but you won't be running the course with it. The wake is like a table top. You've got a bump at entry and exit. As you speed up the boat is decreases slightly, but I'd be a little nervous about skiing too hard behind the boat at 34 mph. Anyway, you can still teach someone to ski and if you've got someone that skis twice a year than it will work fine. It is definately a wakeboard boat though.

Well we went out today and demoed the 230 first then then 210 and finally the 220 . I rode all of them also and I can say that we love the 230!

We still are waiting to demo the new Malibu and the X-15 but I'm ready to atleast tqlk pricing on ordering a new loaded 230. As many people on this board know that I have owned 6 Malibus and everytim I purchase I look hard at the Nautique. I just hope that I get a good price on this boat so I can really consider purchasing it and becoming a Nautique owner.
