I have an 03 SANTE and was wondering how you guys weight this hull. I understand you can replace the stock ballast with bags and all that. What I am looking for is how much weight do you have in the boat and where do you put it. I think over the cold season I am going to plumb in some sacks in the rear and bow. Just curious as to what is the best set up for you.

RE: How do you weight your 210
I bought a fly high bow fat sac..1 000 lbs. Bad idea in the river. the nose was 6-8'' from the water(waves!) even with the rear ballast (OEM) filled and 4-5 people on board(in the rear). scary moments for sure.

06 SANTE with factory ballast and 400 lbs of pops (160 in bow and 120 in rear on each side) - This setup gives a better wake than an 08 Gravity Games Moomba running the factory appx. 2000# ballast2006 SANTE 210 (Pending Sale)

How about a 210/Super Sport with no factory ballast?
In my SS/SA I run a 400lb bag on either side of the motor, a 650 in the ski locker and a about 400 in the nose. Perfect shape and it easily gets on plane.2001 Super Air Nautique

I have a 2001 SAN and run the factory ballast around 400#s ,a bigblock" Python" about 250#s over a smallblock and 200#s of sand in each rear locker. The total rear weight is about 1050pounds. In the front I use six 60#s sand bags under the bow cushions and about six more sand bags in the Ski locker. The front and ski locker total around 720pounds. So my total ballast weight including sand, extra weight of Bigblock and the factory ballast tanks is 1770pounds. The wake is clean, big and the boat still drive well.

I used to ride behind an 03 SANTE and my friend had factory ballast plus a fat sac on each side of the motor and a 800lb sac on the floor against the back row seats. It made the boat hard to plane and see, but the wake was super STEEP and made for some big air jumps.

For those of you who haven't already seen this, here is a pic of the 2008 210 with 3000#'s of ballast. Its not as steep as the old hull, but its still very smooth and more consistent in my opinion. Dont get me wrong, I'm not hating on the old hull but this new ramp is a lot more predictable and won't buck you straight up off the lip.

jward,
That pic above isn't coming from the same hull you have, so your boat won't react the same as his. Here is how I have mine set up...with 4 or more people in the boat, the wake will be good enough for anyone. With 2 people in the boat, it is still great.
450 on each side of the engine, 700 custom sack in the ski locker, 200 lead in the bow, 100 lead spread around the cabin under the seats. Boat gets on plane fine and wake is great at 80-85', 24.5 mph2008 Super Air Nautique 210TE

a lot up front...a little in the middle...and a lot more in back...
Weight in the front takes some of the vert out of the wake and makes a little friendlier transition, more weight in back makes for a steep hard wake.

In my 01 SAN I run 600 on each side of the motor, a 600 in the ski locker and the integrated bow sack on top of my seats in the bow if I dont have many people with about 500-600 in that, otherwise its under the seat with people in the front. It gets on plane very easy and the wake is pretty ridiculous.
