    Cold season upgrades!

So the weather will be changing soon and I was thinking of things that I will be doing to the boat while it sits in the garage. I think I will for sure redo some of the stereo equipment. Plumb in more ballast. I may also do some powder coating. Speaking of powder coating, how much should I expect to pay for the tower and or windshield frame.

So what are some of your plans for the winter upgrades. Give me some ideas that I may not be thinking about.

Give anodizing the frame black a thought as well. Won't chip and protects the aluminum. And since they are "winter" upgrades, I have to say I love my 4 port heater and heated seats that I installed.
How 'bout a little reverse action...

Man I forgot about that. I think I may put in a shower and heater
I have to ask, how did you put in heated seats
Who do I talk to about anodizing?

i got the idea from Grant, not sure if he still has his site up but I can post some install pics if you want. http://www.heatedseatkits.com/heatedseatkits/index.html Not too hard really and it comes out very clean. I would do a google search for "anodizing (your zip code)" and see what comes up. It's not an uncommon service so you should be able to come up with something. If you let us know where you're located you might find someone who could steer you in the right direction. What model CC do you own, that would help everyone out probably.

The search button is a great tool but here's a freebie. Search the site and you'll find some write-ups. http://www.wakesiderides.com/nautiqu...cle.php?id=155

I started making a list on Monday for some things I plan to do in the off-season on my 03 SAN. They are:

              * Re-work the ballast system - I haven't decided whether to add solenoid valves, replace the fill pump with an impeller pump, or completely re-do and use reversible impeller pumps.

              * Adding zerk fitting to rudder port
              * Adding a tower mounted anchor light
              * Considering upgrading PP to SG - I keep fooling around with the paddle wheel alignment but I still have inconsistent speeds.
              * Adding LED lights to the interior
              * Adding a 2nd battery

All of them are pretty basic items. I've only had the boat a couple of months so I imagine that next year I will have a more extensive list of projects.

I have a pretty good list going so far too.

                1. Install auto ballast system with reversible pumps
                2. Add zerk fitting to rudder
                3. Goretex packing on rudder and shaft log
                4. Powder Coat Windsheild and rear vent covers
                5. Finish my second battery install
                6. Convert my single axle trailer to a tandem (it needs a paint job any ways, and I like to weld)
                7. Fix screw holes in deck where old bimini loops were.

                Python Powered
                100 Amp Alternator
                Dual Batteries
                Many upgrades coming...
