OK 2006 SANTE stock ballast, with a 1236 ACME 1236. Before I buy sac's is it better to fill the bow and the locker vs. the V drive sides? The stock ballast is fine for me on while wake boarding.

        My 07 San 210 surfwake...
I've been working on my surfing wake for awhile now -I feel like I just got it down and its great. Do this and you'll get about a 4' wake port or starboard and everybody will love it:
Belly full, 550 sac in the front walk way, port/star full (depending on which side you're surfing), and then another 500# sac in whichever locker your surfing...MONEY!

Ok so no Bow weight other than a sac in the pass through area?

I am wondering if a small sack in the locker and weight in the bow would work and still give me the walk way? I'll mess with it. THANKS!!! Send me a pic of the wake if you can I'll do the same.

I agree with rossrips. Make a suck gate for about $35-40. There are threads on here with several pics. Make sure you get the aluminum handle suction cup not the one with the plastic handle.

On a side note, I find this thread interesting. Maybe people's perception of what surfing is has changed. This post is 9 years old and back then people were talking about surfing a 210 with basically stock ballast and a few people on the surf side. Fast forward to 2016 and I can't get a wave with enough push to surf without a rope and I have full ballast, 600s on each side of the engine, a 250 under the front seats, and a suck gate. Everyone on here tells me the reason my wave doesn't have enough push is because I need more weight.

What has changed over the past 8-9 years? Were people mostly surfing with the rope back then?

I run stock ballast plus 400 on each side in back. Full belly. 150# lead wake bags in bow as far up as you can get it. Plus the suck gate. I have another 150# in lead wake bags that I will move around depending on people in boat. Full tank of gas.
