    engine overheating

We were out today and I noticed that my eng hot warning was flashing on the digital display and the temp was at 207. I tried to idle back to the dock but the temp kept rising so i turned it off. /Am I looking at an impeller or water pump? or did I do anymore serious damage to my engine. After I turned it off I let it sit and turned it back on it turned over fine but was still at 207+ so I left it off. Boat is an 03 SAN with excalibur

A quick checklist includes. Your strainer, your impeller, and any leaks in the cooling system. Check those first.
How 'bout a little reverse action...
