Pull upward on the seat, it's only hooks that hold the seat back in, you'll need to give it a good tug. In the very front of the bow where it says Correct Craft look between the cushions and there should be a few screws that hold that part in.

On my 2002 there were 2 screws under the passenger seat hatch and 4 screws under the dash. These screws attach the seatback in the area below the windshield. Remove these, then remove the cupholders and bottom cushions, and reach up way up right between where the cupholders were in place, toward the oh sh!t handle. .Be careful because there are screws protruding that hold the cupholder assembly onto the cushion. There is one nut on each side to remove, and one more nut in the front right in the center below the nautique logo. You dont need to reach for this one.

After you have it all unbolted, start by pulling straight up at the areas where the cushion nears the windshield. There is a metal bracket their that slides into the back of the cushion. You will see what I mean when you get this far. To replace the speakers, I did not remove the whole cushion, I just propped up on side at a time.

        Hope this helps.
