Rick, It's funny how the name Nautique has become the term allot (especially the younger group) of people now use. Many a time I have to refer to the Nautique name when talking about Correct Crafts before the person understands what boat I'm speaking of. Somewhere back in the early days of the Nautique, I have a feeling that corporate marketing decided to push the name and it stuck. I personally feel it's a shame that the Correct Craft company name is being forgotten especially on the corporate level. It very well be, that Saceone was refering to the oldest Correct Craft!!!

Correct Craft is now a holding company with many other brands included under that umbrella including the Nautique brand. You can see them listed under CorrectCraft.com. So if you use the name Correct Craft or Nautique it depends on the model and age of you boat.

Forgive me if this is old news on PN, but I did a search and didnt see the story anywhere over here. So despite the title of the thread being oldest boat, the question posed was oldest Nautique. Well that's easy, the oldest Nautique is obviously the first one made, made by Leo Bentz, not by Correct Craft. And that original boat, the one shown on the flyer sheet posted by Squaminboards on page one of this thread, was located a few years ago and bought by a member here, 81Nautique. Here are a couple pictures. One several years ago when still in pretty good shape, and one from when Alan picked it up, not such great shape.
