I saw the new 230 this morning at Sail and Ski with that tower in one of the mechanic bays. I actually walked up to check it out. I think the new tower is completely out of place (IMO). It looks really weird. But some may like it. I know I don't.

Very nice boat but i'm afraid that tower does nothing for it. This is my favourite.

There is one thing about that "weird" tower that I do like....it seems to be less cumbersome (is that's the right word...probably not). If it's still a strong tower (and I am assuming it is) then it has a smaller profile connection at the boat. Meaning in stead of having four legs that are spread out across the front and back of the windshield....it's only got the one main connection point. I've always liked that same concept with the Carbon Fiber Malibu tower. To me it just seems to be more simple and less.....cumbersome (still can't find the right word there...sorry)

Something that is weird about that tower is that it's positioned way to the back of the boat. I guess it's got to be behind the windshield...but, I think that location is what's making it look weird to me. It just looks like an after thought. Notice the style of the tower in the boat pics from Bevan....it's more centrally located on the boat. Just makes for a nicer line.

Perhaps if this weird tower went farther towards the bow and then less towards the stern, the line might tighten up? Just a thought. Also, if you look at the pics in the thread of the 216V....you'll notice that the windshield stops so that the tower can be mounted farther towards the bow. Even that looks a bit more centralized and a bit better than the images of the 230 at the beginning of this thread.

I also really like the option of choosing the tower that you perfer. I think that's a very smart concept for Correct Craft. A tower is a big "eye" piece that is very much per a person's feelings....so having options seems like a great idea. And, I am guessing that those options that are seldom selected, would slowly go away.
