Question on some minor issues. '89 2001

For your high idle problem... be sure to check your throttle cable. I had a similar problem with an older boat and it turned out that the throtle cable was hanging up when i let off of the throttle. When i shut down the engine it would free up and return to normal idle rpm... I realigned the cable and added a zip tie and all was well.

can you be more specific? how was it hanging up and what did you do to realign the cable?

I have a 89 lost the flap I had it sitting in 2' of water at the dock - a muskrat mad a nest in my exhaust tube !

5/8" x 50' for the rub rail. Sometimes you can find OEM pickup tubes on EBAY but Faria ones woll work. You may need to fill two hoes with epoxy and drill one new one but all should be hidden.
