    re-propping my rig

Alright after 5 years of running the Team prop on my 03' SANTE I am finally going to make the change to a different pitched prop. I run with stock ballast plus another 1000lbs or so and usually ride with 4 people in the boat.

I'm considering the Acme 1465, I have been behind Brandon's boat and like the hole shot and the rpms it's turning when at riding speeds.

I typically ride at 80' and I'm at 3100rpms (23mph / 24mph) depending on how many people I have while at riding speed, I just don't like how long it takes to get to riding speed so want to make the change.

I know, I know.....5 years later but after another weekend behind Brandon's boat I am convinced it is time.

What are you running for a prop and how do you like it? Give me RPM's, gas consumption...all the details.

    Thanks, Gramps

      RE: re-propping my rig

Gramps, I think you would need to go with the 1464 on your boat not the 1465 (not sure though). I have the 1465 on my 08. Didn't CC change the prop rotation in 06 or 07? I think you would need a RH prop not LH. Anyway I run the 1465 on my 08 210 and love it although I did send it back to Acme and had some cup taken out of it. Just give Acme a call and ask for Bill. He is one of the engineers and will give you the right set up. I wanted a little more hole shot out of mine so I sent the 1465 back to them and he took some cup out. I believe my prop has about .080 cup in it now. It helped alot by getting it reworked. I run factory ballast plus the fly high integrated ballast about 1100-1200lbs extra depending on how many people are in the boat. Boat runs approx. 3100 rpm at 22.2mph on zero off. Top end is about 39-40 mph at 5200rpm. Also have the 343 excalibur engine. Usually use somewhere around 7-9 gallons of fuel every three sets of boarding.

      bchesley, 1465 specs are 13.50 diameter X 14.25 pitch .105 cup 1 1/8 bore left hand.

I think my favorite picture of gramps boat is the one where the boat is under way to the right of the picture and there's a wakeboarder in the air behind the boat, and the wake is MACKIN!!!!

Thanks latonka, as I had not heard of that prop before. I am running about 1800lbs and 4-5 riders and the 644 just does not get the job done like I want it too. I am adding that to my winter projects list.

Where can I find water that LOOKS like that. Even if I get up at 5AM I still find it. I forgot how much I liked that color when it was available.

Ive got the ACME 856 on my 03 SANTE. I ride the same rope length, speed an weight you mentioned. My RPMs are slightly higher and top speed is lower but hole shot is great when weighted.

Gramps, I put a 1464 on my 05' 210 this year and couldn't believe the throttle response I got out of it. I also didn't lose much top end either (43 m.p.h.).
