Trailer questions, or, Help me become a CC owner.

Hi All, new to the site, you all seem pretty knowlegeable and friendly.

I know this isn't strictly a Nautique question, but see if you can help?

I am looking to buy my first boat, and it is a 1987 Correct Craft Martinique, a 19' inboard. The boat is in minty condition, and I think I am getting it for less than market value. Thing is, the owner lives at the lake, so there is no trailer.

I have asked around all the marine stores near Cleveland and one says he might have a trailer that works. However, he wanted to know the dimensions of the boat to try and measure for fit. I can't really "try it on" since I don't want to buy the boat if I can't find a trailer, and of course vice versa. I don't think this guy wants me to pull his trailer a hundred hiles and dip it just to bring it back and say "Sorry."

    Short version
What measurements would I need to see if a trailer will fit my boat, and where could I find them?

    Thanks for your help!

I had one of the 1989 Martiniques. Loved it and it has a lot of room. I dont know if you are going to be able ot find a trailer easily for this boat. I wish you well. Good Luck,
Email me if you like, I have owned 15 Nautiques.
