My son and I are going out in a Mobius LSV tomorrow for a demo and pull with a guy I work with so I'll let you know my thoughts. My son rode behind an SAN210 on the weekend at Provincials. He took first I might add in the Mens Intermediate Division. Unfortunately the lake was shallow at 10 feet and they could not load the ballast up for fear of hitting the bottom; boat was loaded with people. He rode at 75 feet and said at 80 it would have been the better choice due to the narrowness ot the wake. He found it narrower than others he has rode behind. He prefers a wider wake to give him more time in the air, maybe with the ballast it would be different? Anyways the quest continues.

Took the 08 Mobious LSV out and I'll list my pros and cons
Pros:
- Great price point, pretty much loaded for $53 K.
- wake shape is decent with 1200#s of ballast and 4 people a little rampy and the length of crisp wake was a short zone and it was really narrow wake to wake.
- lots of storage and good access overall
- Lots of room in the rear lockers to place bigger bladder bags and still have room for stowing.
- Dash layout simple and gauges easy to see.
- Ballast fill and drain worked well
- Cockpit area seemed roomy
- No rattles in the tower in the rougher water
- Carpet quality seemed ok
- Heater worked good
Cons:
- Shallow seating, knees up by your ears
- Space between tower speakers and your head was tight
- Seating throughout was uncomfortable
- Drivers seat was not swivel and could not be adjusted up or down
- Power seemed to lag when weighted down, it was the 340 HP Indamar
- Perfect pass did not work
- Carpet in storage areas pulling away from the sides, needs to be glued again.
- Ballast pump switches in an awkward spot
- No arm rest when using the throttle, there was but it was in an awkward spot
- Overall hull finish seemed to be lacking , honestly this guy takes care of his boat but the hull finish already looked old for a new boat. The color scheme he picked was nice blue and white. A nice looking boat from a distance.
- The water was not that rough but I could feel the vibration already through the hull.
- No snap out carpet
- No wind dam for the front
- Mirror bracket wants to come loose all the time
- Tower lights and speaker bracket want to come loose all the time.
Thats pretty much all I have on this boat for now, I'm certain this isn't the boat for me but it does fill a niche. The quest continues.

Well I am new here but I just went through what you are discussing. Bought a new moomba in May 05. It spent most of that first season in the shop (I had hired a lawyer right before they finally got it straight) Now dont get me wrong other than that first problem that any boat could have it was over all a fine boat and both my son and daughter have gotten very good with their boarding. the moral of my story is we regreted not spending more money for a better boat to begin with. The resale was very low and didnt think we were gonna get out of it especially this late in the season but a guy pulled up on the lake a couple of weeks ago and said he had been lookin for one like mine and loved the color. He bought it that afternoon and we called the seller on the 220 TE we wanted and he still had it. The rest is history we are SAN family and thrilled to be in a big nice boat.

I've been through the boat regret thing already with the Glastron, great runabout but I've driven it for three years wishing I had another boat. I don't want to do that again. Glad it all worked out for you with the 220TE Terry. Is there any reason you went with the 220 over a 210?
The low seats were a deal breaker with the Mobius, very similar to the outback I had been in before. The Mobius has alot to offer I just want a bit more than that. I'm certainly interested in the 210, wished the Wife had gotten on board with this earlier in the season I probably could have gone out for a test ride.

I just went through this situation myself, bought a new Moomba Outback in '06. Great boat for a beginnger and got into it well under 30k. However, I quickly outgrew the boat and sold it a few weeks ago (had it 3 seasons). Like I said, I got a great deal on it to begin with, so I sold for about 2k less than what I bought it for. I doubt that is usually the case, but it worked out great for me. I just picked up for 07 210 yesterday and the difference is night and day, but so was the expense. After having the Moomba though, I can now justify to myself why the Nautiques cost so much more, it's well worth it. To me, it's the difference of owning a Dodge Neon and and Mercedes.
That being said, a friend of mine just bought a new Mobius LSV and he loves that thing to death. Guess it just depends on what your looking for. If you want perfection, go with the 210 in my opinion.

The 220 is what I had found and it was an excellent deal. 06 220 TE with less than 60 hours for 40 grand . We put it in the water for the first time today and believe me there is night and day difference in my moomba and my 220. I think the neon/ benz comparison might be an understatement. It is so sweet and smooth and my son is in awe of the wake! Love all of the rear facing seating options, garbadge can , cooler etc. my only complaint might be the prop turning opposite what my moomba turned we arent getting the surfing wake we would like on starboard. sorry for the long post but we are gushing......love SAN

You got nothing over me for long posts. I thought I had read somewhere that they had changed the prop rotation. Sounds like a great price especially with 60 hours, what year? Congrats on the boat, you sound very impressed with it. Maybe next year I'll be able to Post a thread on my new boat. You will have to start a "See My New Boat" Thread with lots of pictures.
