    Tracking: adjust rudder?

Hi, I just bought a 2007 196. It is my first tourney-level ski boat.

However, all my fellow skiers who have driven it told me that it is not tracking properly. It feels as if the steering is loose, or dificult to keep straight in the course. Someone suggested that I adjust the little fins on the rudder in order to create pressure to one side to help keep it straight.

I'm willing to try that, but I don't know how to make this adjustment properly. Can anyone give me some guidelines for this?

Could there be other possible causes for this tracking problem?

    Thanks

    RE: Tracking: adjust rudder?

Noelb all you have to do is loosen two screws on the rudder and turn the adjuster to the starboad side, then this will make you keep pressure on the steering wheel. Depending on the level of your skiers, you might have to adjust this more than once to find the proper tracking for you. Don't have to move every much to make a differance.
