Surf Wake behind 08 210 - Starboard Side

I've seen lots of questions and comments about how the surf wake is on the starboard side of the new 210's, due to the prop rotation. Thought I would post up a couple of pics from last weekend. The boat is not even loaded down that much, although the pictures really make it look like it is. To me the wake on either side is just fine, and would not be a deciding factor in my purchase of this boat.

Chad - I'd recommend getting a surfing tow rope before your next session. Using a wake board handle is asking for trouble.

definitely plowing there, hahaha! you know you have enough weight in the boat when:

        a) your side vents take on water and fill your blower vent ducts and
        b) people in your boat dont all have to sit on each others laps on the surf side.

when you have met the above two objectives, you have to be SUPER careful in rough/roller filled water not to take water over the gunnel...and for what it is worth, i have never seen a boat that wont throw a very slayshable wave on the opposite side---you just have to add more weight to counter the prop torque...

Agree...I was thinking the same thing.

Surfer: "I'm falling, throw me the rope!"

          Deck Hand: "Here it comes!"

          Surfer: "Got it..........ahhhh!"

Deck Hand: "Don't worry....got your harm here. We'll get you in and if you don't die, maybe we can attach it back."

I'm just kidding of course...the chances are slim but real.

I've not surfed anyone behind my boat but I'll have a surf rope for next season so we are never tempted to do it without. There are many threads on PN pointing to nice surf ropes available.

Signing out...just lost power due to Ike. I have the DSL on UPS. Looks like a llllloooooonnnnnngggg weekend.

yeah, the wake on those boats is SICK. On both sides.
I love mine a lot, but I have to say it is better shaped on the 08 210. It is like it has a kicker on top of the surf wave.

I'm curious as to how fast you were going?
I tried going a little faster w/ my 220 from 9 to 10 and it made the wave much better...longer not quite as steep but longer...more room to do tricks.

as much weight as he is running, i am sure he is going 11-12. if you want to sack it up, you can run much faster... we are right at 12 mph on a 220 here, rocking both port and starboard...

Is someone somewhere they shouldn't be? or just shy?

Are bouyancy vests optional when surfing? the surfer girl shouldn't have to wear one though, if you have any more photos of her please feel free to include them.
                          thanks

Must be to cover the topless ballast.
