??? Max weight on towers with speakers, boards and such.

I'm wondering about a few things with all the speakers boxes and board racks, lights and such that are being put up top at what is the max weight that the tower and deck can safely handle. Maybe not from a structural perspective like the tower crashing down but, more from the deck flexing and/or cracking from the extra stresses.

Has CC done any studies to really find out what the towers/decks can handle?

Well I’ve sat atop my tower before for quite some time with no problem and I weigh 195 lbs... When you think about it on a good cut in your probably putting a few hundred pounds of stress on the tower, I wouldn’t really worry about weight, its gonna be able to support all that you can fit up there... if it couldn’t (seeing as CC is so keen on warning labels) correct craft would surely put a weight limit on it... I think that the new boats have reinforced decks too so they have even more strength...
    How about \"Chales\"?

I regularly uses the tower as a diving platform (one more warning sticker CC will probably start adding to the towers). I use it to push off when jumping, and I weigh more than 200. I have never had a problem. We also use the tower for pulling the tube, and I bet that puts the most stress on it of anything we do. Still we have no problem.

Anybody want to do a weight test? I will bring the weights, you supply the boat and tower we will load it up to failure to see how much it can take. :bash:

I agree on the durability. If the new Tower speakers I have don't put stress on the tower, pulling tubes, wakeboarders, etc will put the stress test on the tower. Try folding the tower with the Kicker speakers, it is a workout in itself.
