'09 210 now rated for 12 people?

Just had a look at the new website, and it looks great! I'm curious now after seeing the specs on the new models, CC built the new 216v 2" longer than the 211?? And the seating capacity on the new models 210 and 216 are now 12 people? Wasn't the 07 and 08 210 rated for 10, what did CC do to increase the rating?
It seems odd that the 216v and 211 are so close in size, anyone know if the 211 is going away?
I don't really like the FCT3, it does look better in black, but if it doesn't have the Z5 bimini, it just doesn't work for me.

I like the top deck stripes, but the DD have the full colored decks, cool!

Yes the capactiy rating has gone up, but it also applies to the same boat models from previous years as well, we have an 08 210 and our dealer just gave us the new plate for 12. I don't think CC does the ratings, but I could be wrong, I thought it was the coast guard...

Yeah that is what I just previously mentioned, any 210 07 or newer can have the new plate installed, because it is the same hull, 06 an older are a different hull so they can't get it.

236/230 is now rated for 16 persons!
Is it just contact CC or the dealer to get the updated plate for a 07 236/230?

8 people in my 210 is too much for me to handle...can't imagine 16 in a 230 !!

Indeed, but it's nice that the local police wont give some cr@p when there are more then 14 people in the boat...

The 211 got bumped from 9 to 10 also. I have an inquiry in to what it takes to update the plate. I was also informed that the coast guard sets that and is the only one that is supposed to check that.

And also for those that thought otherwise, the ratings do include the people behind the boat. For some reason some people think they don't count. Like those annoying jetskis: if they're rated for two and don't have mirrors, you can't have a driver, spotter, and someone being towed. But once again, only the coast guard is supposed to care.

All we did to get the updated plate was walk into our dealer to get our ZO updated, and they handed us the new plate, I had no idea the capacity had even changed at the time. So if your dealer is on top of it, you should just be able to call them and they can get the plate for you...
