    New Orlando Dealer

I found the new Orlando Nautique dealer today. I was pleasantly surprised at the facility. They have plenty of space to stock 100 or more boats and have full service. Many of the faces I saw at Southeast were working there. The showroom had 5 new boats inside and boats moving around everywhere. I checked out the new 210 with the new tower and it was bad ***. My 7 year old son could fold with one hand! He liked the crest carpet and new graphics. It is much easier to drive in for service. I talked to one of the owners and they said they had already sold 2 boats and they were very excited! Good luck guys!

Is Woody at Jeff's new place or is he still at Southeast (or whatever they are going to call it)?

Talked to Woody 2 days ago at Southeast...I didn't inquire about his future plans.

Woody did not make the transition. We have an A team assembled at Nautiques of Orlando and are growing. Any parts, service, or warranty will be handled by us as this transition is taking place. We have a very strong relationship with the factory and can handle any of your inboard boating needs.

I bought my 2007 SANTE from SECC last year and it seems odd (and not to mention poor customer relations) to me that there has been no official communication from either Correct Craft or Nautiques of Orlando to SECC customers about this transition....just my .02 cents.

I would expect some communication from someone when I pay big $'s for a product such as this.

Speaking of new Orlando dealer, did you see who announced today they were opening a new Mastercraft dealership in Orlando? Walt Meloon and family. Yowza!

MasterCraft and Walter N. Meloon Family Jointly Announce The Opening of a New Central Florida Dealership

                September 25, 2008

MasterCraft and the Walter N. Meloon family announce a new dealership for the Central Florida market. MasterCraft has joined forces with Walter N. Meloon, of the famed marine industry family, to open MasterCraft of Orlando, a full sales and service facility that will offer the entire MasterCraft product line.
The Meloons recently sold their shares in Correct Craft, the manufacturing company built by their family, and will reopen the site of their former dealership, Southeast Correct Craft, as the new MasterCraft of Orlando. The family’s long-term desire is to continue their stellar dealership tradition since 1972 of sales and service of high quality inboard wakeboard and waterski boats in the market, and is pleased by the exciting new dealership affiliation with MasterCraft.

“In the many years we were in the marketplace with MasterCraft, we were always aware of their strong commitment to quality and product innovation,” says Walt Meloon, owner of MasterCraft of Orlando. “As we analyzed the various options available to us in light of our recent sale, we felt we had an outstanding, win-win opportunity to partner with an industry leader like MasterCraft and firmly believe we have tremendous opportunity to gain market share. Over the years, we have built a dedicated reputation based on taking good care of our valued customers and servicing their boating needs. We are very enthusiastic about continuing this same high level of commitment and in providing superior sales and service for MasterCraft customers.”

Scott Crutchfield, senior vice president of worldwide sales for MasterCraft, agrees. “When we were in the initial talks with Walt, it was always about two main things. How do we bring the MasterCraft reputation of quality, innovation, service and integrity into the Orlando marketplace, and how do we gain a competitive advantage in such a crowded yet important market? Walt came to the table with a proven history of being able to deliver a world class consumer experience and, based on their tremendous history, have an inherent advantage to take over and absolutely dominate the marine market in Orlando.”
“We have enjoyed a great history in Central Florida, but we are totally focused on the future,” added Walt Meloon. ”We have very aggressive plans for the market and look forward to maximizing the brand power of MasterCraft and the quality of products to benefit boaters here.”

MasterCraft of Orlando is located at 7576 South Orange Avenue, Orlando, FL and is due to officially open for business upon new product delivery.

They are having a lot of fun with this announcement over on the team MC site. I will say I am very surprised the Meloons would do something that could be preceived as slap in the face to the brand they built for so many years.

wtf! why would someone who has a great history in a brand, go and sell another competing brand??? I know they need to make a living, but a mastercraft dealer????? Why not an epic dealership or something. I just don get it.

I had the opportunity to get over to the new Nautiques of Orlando and that is going to be something else. Jeff has a great location right off of I-4 by Michigan (the old Boat tree location for those that know) with several boats on the Highway side. He already has several 2009 models with several options. One 210 in particular - black and grey. The new Roswell tower is sweet - it can be folded and lifted using one arm due to some tensioning cables built into the tower.
