WellI'm getting really close to selling my 06 Malibu Wakesetter VLX and ordering a completly loaded 230 Team and was planning on having the Fly High ballast installed in the boat. Currently I'm planning on ordering the Z06 engine but was making sure that this engine was the best choice for the boat I was about to order. The boat that I test drove had the Z06 so that's all that I have driven.

RE: 230 Engine Choice
409 vs 343 hp. No brainer for me to go with the big one. I don't think the 2 chices have ever been that far apart on hp. Granted with the right prop and low RPMs, the difference will not be noticeable, but I load up my boat with a lot of people and am a gearhead at heart. Would you get the Mustang, Camaro, Charger, etc. with a 6 cylinder or the V8? But it is about a 5-6K option, so I understand why some forgo the bigger engine.2015 G23

RE: 230 Engine Choice
On a side note to your side note, my three jetskis and jet boat have superchargers too. My fastest jetski has 255 hp and does 0 to 50 in about 2.9 seconds. So I agree, your mustang did need more power. Did you put in a roush?2015 G23
