You know,I have tube my share and here in later life still ( with a little protest ) do pull one if I have to. But I would like to know why they go to the smoooth end of the lake and chop it up so they can pull the tube over their own wakes.

The following is based on my personal experiences from taking my boat to Summer camps, since 1982.
With tubes you can entertain youth and give them a fun adrenalin rush, if you are careful and lucky enough not to hurt them. You can even take more than one person on tubes behind at a time, but that increases the risk of someone getting hurt. Once the adrenalin rush wears off, the ride is forgotten. Sometimes someone is really lucky, they might make a end of day, or end of week highlight video. That is it.
When you teach someone to ski, or wakeboard, they remember the experience of getting up and accomplishing something for the rest of their life. I have had youth thank me for teaching them to ski or wakeboard many times, sometimes several years later. That does not happen on tubes.
The youth you teach to ski or wakeboard today are the adults that will be remembering that experience and will be much more likely to buy a boat when they have kids. Educate, do not just entertain.
And I thought Mastercraft owners had mullets for hairstyles, drove older Camaros, listened to 80's rock music, and were generally attracted by bright and shiney objects.
