I put the ballast switches on my super sport where the capacity plate went as well. My plate now sits in my glove box.

Have you had a chance to test your system? I was planning on using 3/4 vent lines as well (same reasons as you), and was warned by someone at Fly High to use same 1inch for vent lines as intakes. He stated the pump will be filling way to fast for the vent to work properly. Thoughts?1999 Super Sport Nautique

That is exactly where I am going to put mine. I am going to put them in a black panel though. I am going to use the factory style circuit breaker and light so it looks even more factory. I actually found a carbon vinyl that looks similar to my dash but might not do it.2001 Super Air Nautique

You know I am not really sure. Mine are all factory parts. I never even thought to find out what thread they were since I ordered them as an assembly of thru hull - valve - hose barb. The 1"x14 though is misleading you, as the size designation for parts of pipe is ID. That is really 3/4" hardware. Can you take it to a lowes or home depot and test fit some pieces to make sure of what you have?2001 Super Air Nautique

MNSuperAir: I went round and round about this as well. I have the same thru-hulls and went to some supply shops and Home Depot/Lowes. Never could seem to get anything to screw on without binding. Contacted Buck Algonquin and here was there response.
"The threads on a thru hull are a straight pipe thread and the threads on a valve are tapered pipe thread. It is natural for the valve to thread on 3-4 turns, and then tighten up. That is standard in the marine industry. Keep in mind the application of the valve to ensure you are using a marine grade valve that is better suited against corrosion. My 00BBV75LP will fit properly. Please let me know if you need more information. ".
Also, learned there is different types of brass. I was looking at the low cost of a Lowe's or Home Depot ball valve ($9 bucks a piece as opposed to $27 or more for marine store versions). Learned that there is yellow brass and red brass and most low cost (Home Depot etc...) is yellow brass and more open to corrosion. Stuff you get at West Marine or Marine stores is usually bronze or red brass. Would you have to worry? Probably only if you were in salt water conditions.
Here are the specs on the thru-hull. Use #8 half inch screws in screw holes to hold in place.1999 Super Sport Nautique

i used all bronze in my ballast install becuase it is supposed to be more resistent against electrolisys..... i think the 3/4 vents are fine.... i eliminated the vent for my locker sac though... by the time water is coming out the side of the boat then the floor looks like it is about to expload.... i just vent it manually.... pretty much the same for the bow sac as well.... and hardly ever do i fill my rear sack full enough to actually vent.... so truth be told if i didnt have a stock ballast system with vents than i probably would not even put them if i redid it... if you havent drilled the hole to vent you ski locker sack than i would say definately dont do it... but your system looks great... that is how i mounted my pumps except facing the other way... i had a ski pylon in the way of facing them backwardBoat: 2001 Nautique Super Sport

I have all the vents and actually like them. I know when the bags are full and when to shut the pumps off. I fill my 750s all the way up. And my floor too is swollen when I let it fill the locker until it is coming out the vent. It will leak back down some due to pressure. I have used mine three times now and love it.2001 Super Air Nautique
