I was at the new Nautique dealer today and looked at an 09 210 Signature edition. Same boat I have that's an 08. The tower on it is the old Flight Control that I thought they stopped making in 06. It has the smaller diameter tubing and the same design as the older FC towers. What's up with that? Is that old tower still an option? The dash pod has changed a bit too.

2009 220 super air

RE: Re: tower change
I just got confirmation from senior management at Correct Craft that they did in fact change the FCT1 tower back to a tower very similar to the older-style tower for the 210 and 220. They did this to lower the weight and make it easier to fold. They also added gussets to the front corners to improve on the original design.
I am actually pretty happy about this. I always liked that tower. The newer FCT1 was nice too, but it sure is heavy! I remember the first time I tried to fold one of the new ones down. It was the first 220 I had ever seen, and I just about cracked the gelcoat on the bow when I dropped it! This was at a boat show too. That wouldn't have been good...I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. Well that answers that. Now I don't have to post the pics I got. I think I like my 08 tower better, however, I have not had to fold it yet. I'll recruit some help when it comes time for that.
