Thank you. Actually I had planned to keep my '08 for a long time. I couldn't be happier with it. But there is a factory promotion going on at MC and to make a long story short I'm getting the '09 for a few hundred out of pocket after trading in my '08. I ordered my '09 identical to my '08 except the '09 will have Zero Off. The '08 was my first new boat. I had bought my '05 197 in February of '07. Had an '88 and '89 prior to that. Bought the 3 recent ones from the same dealer.


Im in Massachusetts. I'm not noticing the prices softening, but that the market for buyers is drying up.

I think the market for a V-drive slalom boat is pretty big, at least here in the midwest where we have a lot of intermediate to advanced intermediate skiers. While they will surely never replace true inboard slalom boats for the serious slalom junkie they will serve a purpose for the aggressive family and those that may never break into 41' off but still want a boat that skis great.

Bottom line is we are all pretty lucky to have so many boats to choose from, think back just 10 or 15 years and the inboard world was pretty small and had very limited offerings.

It's got to be a regional thing, I would think. Down here in the south, I can't imagine people buying that. But if there's a market for it, more power to em.

Yeah I could see it being a midwest thing, we have a lot of skiers who buy family boats to haul people and gear. The thing is if you have 2 kids, that means they bring 2 friends and pretty soon you've got a boat full!

My '07 211 is my roomy ski boat (NC). No tanks and so far has never been wakeboarded (but guests are welcome to). I know the wake isn't a DD and I'm not Andy Mapple, but the family part is more important than getting the wake a little flatter.

Here is my plug. See below for the boats I've owned. I have a friend with a 206. 216 all the way. In fact my 08, 210 has a better skiing wake then my 211. Driving while pulling a skier is a different story in the 210. CC needs to put the pylon in front of the motor again....

I dont think it has to do with region, its a family thing. I'm in the South, and would love to have a great ski wake with lots of room for the family and our friends.

In my opinion we have the best compromise boat. We chase bouys in the am, then load up the family and friends and have lunch and adult beverages till time to go home and get ready to do it again.
