    Epic sessions

Just had maybe my last 'session' of the year today... epic. Just bought my '01 SAN 2 weeks ago and floated it for the third time today. Perfect water all day on the Tar River in Greenville, NC. GLASS 8 hrs straight, had 10 miles of the river to ourselves. Taught 1 to go wake to wake, taught 1 to wakeboard, 1 landed a tantrum, 1got up on slalom, and I got the cheapest gas in town. Had lunch on a shore side 'pub' then went and did it all over again. Could not ask for a better day with the bros, my 'new' SAN, and the day off.

Any other late season epic sessions out there?

    RE: Epic sessions

Yesterday I had about a million things to do including finishing my late income taxes due Wednesday plus trying to fix all the problems in my brokerage accounts.

But instead I left the wife and son at home and took the 6 year old daughter to our ski lakes for some dad and me time. The wind blew fairly hard along the lakes and it made more than a ripple plus a PITA to handle the boat. The water was cold and brown due to the wind. Conditions were much less than ideal.

The good news...everyone else was watching football and out of the wind....so no other boats to get in our way.

She spent an hour non-stop on the knee board.

We tied up to a rose bush and she played in the mud for an hour.

Then an hour on the fun board - most of the time standing.

We played some great kid tunes loud and no homeowners complained.

    For me....epic

      RE: Epic sessions

We tried to go out Sunday, but the conditions were non-conducive to boarding, so we just dropped anchor and rode with some friends, and watched them fight the other boats for the one good cove on the lake. Yesterday was different. We got there in time for my friend, his wife, and myself to each get in a set, and everyone rode great. Got some crappy camera phone pics on the way in as well. In one of them, you can see the preleminary Roswell tower silhouetted.
