SkiTower, with the weather we've had in NC these past few days we could be on the water now. I probably would have been out Sunday if the 210 was here.
that was my belief last year so I got it out first weekend in March. That water was COLD (don't have a temp gauge). It was Mid-May before the kids even thought of getting in.

water is in the mid 40s at surrounding lakes in raleigh nc. heater shirt was doable this past weekend. there were a few cats at harris that apparently went commando. little too cold for that, but the heater shirt was just fine.

I rode for the first time this season over the weekend on the Parker Strip. The only people out were fishermen. Glassy conditions. The air was about 68 and the Water was 57...but a 3/2 full suit did the trick.

I just bought the wetsuit so I could extend my season on both the front and backend. Now I'll be able to ride in early March through the middle of December.

The bad thing is I now have to wait another three weeks before I get to get back on the water. But that trip will be for Spring Break and we'll be there for a full week.

Perspective is always a good thing. Couldn't ski, but we were out fishing today. We drilled a hole in the ice (19" thick) dropped in our lines, and caught a walleye and a sunny. Should be able to put in our boats in about 5 weeks. Won't be putting in my body for a few after that.

Yep, snowed here last week, and I'm in the short rows to the season. Makes you wonder. Water temp is ~50.
