Port Side Surf Wake - 210

Could anyone provide me any guidance on how good the port side surf wake can be on an '07-'09 210? If the deals are good enough i'm in the market for a new boat and so far the 210 fits all of my requirements other than the unknown surf wake.

Right now i'm used to a fairly large surf wake as I load up roughly 2,000 lbs in my current boat so i'm hoping for at least a near equivalent. Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

This is on my 08 with just the port tank filled and one 250lb fat sac in the rear compartment. only the driver on board. Another fat sac to be added this weekend. sorry the pic kinda sucks bc the driver is taking it and driving too. More weight and I'm sure it will get much better!




sorry my big a$$ takes up most of the pic of the wake. I will get one this weekend with no one there!

Sorry I don't have any pics but I can tell you the port side surf wake is great for us. In my 08' we load up the port side ballast, fill the center tank half full, and with about 800 pounds of people on the port side (2 on the sundeck and 2 sitting in the rear corner) the rubrail is about 1" from the water (moving) and the wake is appx. waist high. I want to add a fat sac in the port compartment and plumb it in, but then I need to figure out where to put my 2nd sub, that is unless the boat sells before next summer. With this setup the wake has a nice top lip with at real fat, meaty bottom. I would say that the wake is very clean until you get about 10 foot back from the boat.

GeauxTigers, for surfing, you cannot go wrong with the new 210. It has an awesome surf wake. You can load the boat up and surf either side equally well, the wake is really nice on both sides. I do what rugdr does basically. I fill belly tank and the tank on the side we want to surf, shift all the people over and the surf wake gets huge. Big and clean, with a really nice shape. What boat are you used to surfing? Another cool thing about the 210 is that you can actually surf both sides at the same time. My brother recently started doing this. We fill all ballast and leave the boat evenly weighted, go about 10 mph and he switches from side to side, it's pretty sic!

I know Shaun Murray loads his 230 with 4,000 pounds of ballast. I'd say you could get away with another 1500-2000 in a 210. Thats what I plan to do. Then you can count on a monster wake with a boat that will still be able to turn!

Thanks guys, i'll have to do a test drive with these suggestions and see if I can get it dialed in. I'm pretty sold on all other facets of this boat, so if I can replicate what everyone is saying here and the dealer is willing to give the right price i'll be a new 210 owner.
