How much aftermarket ballast to you have in your SANTE?

I'm interested in the different amounts of aftermarket ballast people have added to their Super Air Nautiques and how they perform. I know Shaun Murray put 4,000lbs in his 230. I'd like ~3,000lbs in our 230 and around 1,500-2000 in our 210. Has anyone done that with theirs? Let me know!

What year is your 210? I run about 2000lbs in my 08 210 and love it!

      Here you go. http://www.planetnautique.com/index....056&highlight=

Gramps runs close to 2,000lbs in his 03 SANTE and he has one of the biggest wakes I have ever seen.

I run 1,250lbs (stock + 400) in my 06 SANSE and it is plenty for most riders. You start adding some bodies into the boat and the wake gets pretty macking.

We used about 2400 pounds of extra weight in our 2008 210, Only had to use about 1100 pounds in our 2005 210 which produced a much better wake.

          I'll have a 210 and 230, both 2009. I'll pick them up next spring.

Good to hear that you are running 2,000 lbs in a 210. How does the boat handle when its loaded down?

I run 2500 in my 01 210 and the boat handles fine.

Just a jealous question, but why are you getting two boats?

              230 here.

              plumbed sacs: 2 x 750s (rear), 1 x 650 (belly), 1 x v sac (650)
              lead/steel: 350

additional total: 3150 lbs and never have to touch a sac pump...

05 210-internal ballast, wedge sacs, v-shape bow sac and 250lbs lead usually upfront. all in all that's about 2600lbs plus a couple people. with that much weight you def need a diff prop though. my boat tops out at about 30mph with my prop w/o running too high rpm's.

The boats will be used as part of a Wakeboard School. Thats why I'll have two.

tdc_worm: what year is your 230? I like how you think...

Thanks for all of the awesome feedback! Keep it coming

the type of weight makes a difference (dont mean to open a can of worms) but running 600 lbs in pop bags plus factory ballast is the best setup in my 211. i have tried fly high sacs and more trying to replace the shot bags only to be disappointed.

this is imho, like anything your mileage may vary.

                          230.... Just standard ballast.
Seems enough for us and I don't hear complains from pro-riders who join us occasionally.
