    End of the season

We haven't been to the lake in a few weeks so tomorrow I'll take our 220 back to Buxton for winterization and storage. I really enjoy the cooler weather when it comes to work, but I miss the weekend lake trip routine. Oh well, May will be here before we know it!

Thanks again to Nautique and PN for another great summer!

    RE: End of the season

I second that. I don't know how many times I've pulled up the ramp (at least three) and have seen one of my really good buddies with his Sea Ray, and a boat full of his wife, daughters and friends and the alternator died, or etc., etc., and you just feel horrible for him, but sooooooo happy that I invested in a Nautique. I love that boat and what a great company that there's 5000 people on here with the same experience. Seems like a pretty good boat company to me. Thanks again Correct Craft!!!

I agree, if I lived in Texas I would probly be on the water for at least another month. I was on the water up in PA a little over a week ago but now it is getting in the low 30's at night so I am done until next spring.

If you lived in Texas, you would probably ski all year because several of our lakes are heated by coal-burning boilers. When you get cold, you get "IN" the water to warm up. Problem is, in the summer, the water gets pretty hot and you have to get out of the water to cool off.

Yeah there are several heated lakes around here. Most winter the water at the output will be 75-80 degrees.

Brad, plant was running today. We drove right by it on our way to the bayou opting for cooler water. Skied from 12--3 p.m. Did not pass another power boat while I was riding. Didn't see another skier/rider all day. Water was as smooth as I've seen it. 63 degrees when we got there and about 69 when we left. Air temp was in the 70s.

Here is a link to one of the heaters. I've driven by this lake at least a thousand times but have never been on it. It might get rough in the winter unless the wind is slack.

Finishing the winterizing tomorrow. Hate this time of the year. If not for summer, I would never make it through the winter.
