One time the wife got out of the car with the kids and was, to her credit, very distracted. Forgot to put the car in gear, AND forgot the E-Brake. We were sitting inside and heard a thump, the car had rolled backwards and ran into the side of the trailer tongue, knocking it off the block. No damage to anything, but scary/funny nonetheless.

Right when I started storing my boat at my parents new house, I thought I could get it completely out of the garage without the truck hooked up. It was easy to pull with the dolly, but the slight incline of driveway was too much for me. I had my girlfriend on one side with a chock and my friend on the other. I told my girlfriend to drop the chock. Unfortunately the tire rolled over the side of it. I yelled at my friend who dropped his. The boat wheel teeter tottered it and stopped. I thought the neighbor's Tacoma was going to get crushed. Needless to say I only pull the boat out enough to get truck hooked up now.Previous:

The thing about pictures and these incidents, is that you probably have such a vivid memory of them, pics are not necessary. I decided not to take pics when my SN got rockpiled. I will never forget what that looked like and have never wished I had taken pics in 13 years. This must be the case or this thread would be full of them...the WakeSlayer

Third time having out my new Nauti I pull up to the ramp dock to pick up my driver and crunch.......rock scraped the bottom up pretty good. Only a scrape that can be gel coat fixed, but you can believe it will never happen again! Worst was with my first boat, an 18 foot pontoon, we're out riding along one day, drinking heavily, because that's the only thing to do on a pontoon, and I notice that the boat is leaning to the right side a bit. I'm thinking to my self, Now i know that i haven't gained that much weight, nor had that many beverages of choice, so I say something to my girlfriend. come to find out one of the plugs came out the back of one pontoon and I was a 25 min ride back to the dock! Hauled back to the dock, at a mighty 15 mph, and grabbed the truck real quick. Once I got it out of the water it peed for about 40 mins straight. The thing must have been 3/4 full of water. The deck was about to be under water when I got it out. I now check the plug every single time I go out, weather I left it in from the time before or not!'08 SAN 210 Team Black w/Patriot red top stripe-Tow Biminis over the tower-4 under water transom lights-hot/cold shower-crest carpet-full throttle steering wheel-extra 6 channel JL amp-Pro 80's-WS420-fiberglass sub enclosure-led'd vents-Chromax Letters-and Tinted windshield for now......

Originally posted by Kevin_BNot so much a story of stupidity but more of a testament to nautique quality. Two summers ago I was with a boat load of people on the cumberland river in a 236 and i was wakeboarding and my friend was driving and As I landed and cut out for my next jump I looked up the lake and because the river was absolutly glass i could barely see a log floating so I tried to signal the driver that he was heading straight for it. So I waved my hands to get their attention and tried pointing it out and I could not get the point across so I started getting frantic and thought if i let go he would slow down in time and see it well my reaction was too late and he smoked the log, (which that got his attention). He idled back to me and I had to check out the underwater gear and everything seemed fine and intact. After we inspected the boat we went back to the log and hits thing was barely out of the water but it was about 20 feet long and 2.5 feet in diameter. It Had the cleanest slash mark through where the tracking fin sliced right though it. It was the most impressive cut I have ever seen so clean and we were so lucky that it bounced deep enough to miss the prop and rutter, (gelcoat was fine too).
Moral of the story Nautique boats exude quality from top to bottom, and pointing and waving does not get your driver to look forward, (havent solved that yet haha)

Speaking of pontoons I was out on my buddies pontoon and was with him, my other buddy (6'4" x 250) and his girl, and we had the cooler on the front. I think his pontoons had water in them as well, but it was a little wavy, nothing bad, but we all needed a drink and the girlfriend was driving, so all three of us go to the front where the cooler is, and we're cruising along at about 15mph. Well, with all three of us and the cooler the front of the boat just went under and we took on about 1 foot of water all the way across the whole boat. It was a pretty scary couple of minutes with everyone moving all around the boat, trying to keep her afloat. It was pretty scary.Travis Fling
