I have a monster tower on my 90 sport and it is very functional, and was relatively easy to install it took me & 2 other guys about 7 hours or so and we were all inexperienced. Monster tower has been fantastic to us we have broke/lost a couple bolts and they send us replacement parts asap and have had great customer service, not a bad thing to say about the company.
All of that being said I wish I would have bought a New Dimensions tower because I think the monster tower is kinda weak looking. At the time folding the tower down was a very integral part of storing the boat on the lift we had, but now it is a non-issue and the tower gets put down maybe once a year. I know there was a thread on here about New Dimensions and some issues some people had with them, but I have no experience to go one way or another on.
IMO if you are looking for a versatile tower, that can be put up/down easily and easy on the budget you can't go wrong with monster tower, but if you want a solid looking tower that doesn't look after-market I would look elsewhere.
I also have a monster tower on my 92 sport. It has worked well for us. I had it installed by the marina I bought the boat from so I can't speak to install however it looks like a pretty easy deal if you are handy. Customer service from monster has been great because we too have lost a bolt and they have sent a replacement asap at no cost. The one thing to keep in mind is that you will have to tighten bolts very frequently(before every outing) or the tower will sway. There are some towers out there that look more similar to the FCT but if you decide to go with monster it is a good inexpensive option
I installed a New Dimensions tower on my 89 Supra Sunsport
two years ago. It is a custom fit to the boat no bolts to tighten,
very solid and looks like OEM.
IMO New Dimensions is the way to go.
I have a 92 CB SN. I have also been looking for a tower. Mostly to free up some room in the boat so I could get some boards up in the rack as well as install a bimini up higher. I was about to go with a ND but even in the winter it was over $2000. I ended up getting an aerial tower for a little over $600 I am sure there is a big difference in quality and so on, but for the price, it is a big difference! I should get it next week and install it then. I will let you know how it goes as well as some pictures.
I have a Monster Tower on my '91 Sport. The previous owner put it on so I can't comment on the installation. He also added the custom bimini top. It is great for shade and storing the tube. I like the look and it works great.
Here's my 2002 Sport Nautique with a New Dimension Tower (NDT) that I installed this past August. Installation was pretty easy. It took me about five hours.
Couldn't be happier with the look. Next steps will be a bimini and a new cover.

I gotta say, from here it looks like the factory model too. Maybe CC lost the patent on it cuz it older and it can be made by ND now. Just a thought. Looks great, I agree. Can you get them in Black too?
The NDT looks great. The whole point of the NDT is that it looks factory, but it does not cost as much as factory. I'm sure NDT has to pay some sort of royalty fee.
I think a lot of companies have to pay Correct Craft something because the patent doesn't run out for a while. Check out watersport towing apparatus and method under U.S. patents. Or US 6666159 or RE37,823 I think are the latest ones.
