I’ll tell you, even from way back when I have loved Nautiques. First when I was a child we went to see the ski show at Seaworld here in Ohio and we were all so impressed. We had an I/O at the time, but that’s the boat I learned to ski behind, and kneeboard, and even got up on the skurfer a few times. We would go down to Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee every year. My cousins had roofing companies and were in their twenties, I was 12 or 13 at the time. One year they came down with their buddy, Crazy Dave, and he brought his brand new 1989 “2001” Ski Nautique and I could not stop staring at it. I loved how low it sat in the water, the windshield jutting up, direct drive with that 351 in there. That boat was so tough, just a pure ski machine. My cousins taught me how to slalom that year, and just being a young kid getting to hang out with my older cousins was the coolest thing. This past year, after paying back years of student loans, buying a house and starting my own family, my 30th birthday dawned and I had saved and saved. I could have bought a “starter” I/O, but I wanted to wait. I found a 1989 2001 with 400 hours on her, Grey and Black single owner and I bought myself the best birthday present a man could want. I love that boat (although I’m thinking I need a Super Air 210, now!!) and I wet-sanded and applied teak oil and cleaned and scrubbed and finally she was ready, and looked brand new. I got my girls together (then 4 and 5, and of course the wife) and took them for their first ride in a Ski Nautique. Right at the launch ramp we dipped her in the water and the girls got out of the truck and watched me pump the throttle, turn her over and see my smile when she fired up (400 hours later and she still does the same) the 351 rumbling it’s content, happy to be alive, faithful to it’s undying performance. Walking back from the now parked truck to the dock and seeing that boat, sitting so low in the water, a pure ski machine, just put a smile on my face that I’m replicating now as I think of it. I couldn’t stop staring at her. As we backed out of the dock that beautiful Nautique torque just spun her stern around. The transmission engaged and under way, heading towards the no wake marker, which promised to release it’s grip on our forced complacence, the promise of freedom the open water allowed. I still remember their squeals of delight as we checked out her hole shot and she planed almost instantly. We turned her bow north, with a warm sun upon us, wind in our hair, radio playing Steve Miller. Not a soul on the lake, just free as a man can feel, perfectly content that he’s begun to frame a lifetime of memories. I looked at my family, one by one and tried to figure out who had the biggest smile. It was an epic day, laughter and fun encased in a memory as unforgettable as a first kiss. Four weeks ago we welcomed our third girl into the world, Emma Isabella, (I wanted to name her Esayen Ti’I – see if you can figure that one out and I wait with baited breath for her maiden voyage this spring.

I sent one in and it also bounced back ...so I sent it to ceoblog at correctcraft.com and it hasn't bounced back - don't know if it got to anyone, but it went somewhere.

Maybe you should post his personal email here to facilitate the process, eh? Ask him to enable his cookies and check his TCPIP settings, too..
