    1987 SN 2001 Rebuild Website

I rebuilt my '87 SN 2001 two years ago. I recently consolidated all of the photos and organized them into a website. I have detailed explanations of preparing the boat, removing the floor, removing the stringers, building new stringers, replacing the stringers, replacing the floor, and total gel cote replacement. Come check it out!

That's great! I'm sure this will be of help to many. I don't think you've posted it over @ the2001.com, right? You should!

            Bill,
You had better do it quick!! Eric's site has been down so much lately plus I don't know if he's even opened it back up for new member registration. Looks likes he's almost giving up on it!!

I was a member of the 2001 site but I cannot get it to load.

Found out I am almost over the limit for my "broadband" usage this month. Guess my site will be down soon unless I pay $50.00 for more broadband. I like helping a brother out, but....

Are you going to do this professionally? There are also some editing issues, like where a picture covers text, and some double printed text, but for a help site, it's amazing. Great information on there and a great service to the community!

Not looking to do it professionally. I had four or five threads, each about 12 pages long, over on CCFan. I get a handful of emails each month asking questions about the build. It is my intent to put all of the information in one place so that it answers many of those common questions and give folks an idea of what they are getting into. Something I could have used before I started.

As far as the errors, I put it together on my lunch breaks over the last week. This week I am going back through one page at a time to touch up my errors. After my seven day provisional period I'll be able to receive notes from people vewing the site. When people point out mistakes I can fix them.

In the future I would like to add a page where I consolodate other people's suggestions or input. For instance, if my site suggests using an air saw to cut the floor, if somebody sends me a message with a brief explanation of a better method, I can put a link to that in the floor removal section.

I don't have any money to work on boats right now, guess you could call this a hobby.

Great work, nice to see someone who takes pride in their work and goes the extra mile. I'm going to do my floor hopefully this winter.
