Sequnecing Trailer Lights

Ok it's winter and im at it again. I bought this LED trailer light Sequencer from Owl Lighting. last year with the intention I would get right on it and one thing led to another and Im finally getting it done. Im glad I waited. This job cant be done with the boat on the trailer.

Here's how it works. You install LED's length wise down your trailer. I chose to install 40 LEDs. 20 on each side of the trailer. 10-1/2 apart all the way down the trailer.
I made these metal strips that the LED lights attach to The metal strips attach to the trailer.

The launche mate Black box is a water switch. It mounts at the back of the trailer and when it touches water it turns on the Sequencer. The Sequencer will make the lights turn on in a wave. It will look like a Airport landing strip.

That is cool!! too bad it only lasts the minute the boat is going on the trailer. I imagine it is not visible once the boat is on the trailer.

Looks cool but not for me. One more thing for saltwater to distroy and me to maintain. I love may ugly but clean galvanized trailer.

This mod to allot of work. I don't know how many people would be willing to do this to their trailer. My boat has alot of LED's and mod's so doing this to the trailer makes sence to me it was kind of the next step. I bough t the kit with plan on doing it an dthen when I got the kit in my hands and got my brain wrapped around how much work it was going to take I seriously thought about not doing it and selling the Kit. I think I had like $400 in Lights and water switch and Sequencer into the Kit. So I knew trying to sell it to some one was never gonna happen. My only choice was to stop talking about how cool it would to have somthing like this and just install the dam kit. I took my boat of the trailer and swapped it with a friends trailer and decided I would just take my trailer home and pimp it out. Truth be told I had fun doing it. Nothing's going on this time of year and it was a fun garage project. Im kinda sad this little project is over LOL. O whell on to bigger and better things.

now you need infrared or microwave detectors to tell you to turn port or starboard when approaching said trailer.
