I accidentally found a teak platform on an obscure marine salvage web site. This guy has skids of CC platforms for salvage prices. My 226 had the standard fiberglass with black rubber and it has started tracking black on my feet. I know teak needs care to look good but it makes the boat look much more classy. He had two for the 226 but had many more for the 196, 210, 216 & 220.

hey it looks great and i have the same problem with the black tracking in. i have a 210 and my wife wants the teak also. did you have to get any brackets or can you use whats on the boat from the fiberglass platform. anyone know ??? thanks

Answer for Grant who is the KING of BLING. Positive to one bolt on the platform and negative to the other INSIDE the hull. Bolts act as conductors so you then pick up the voltage on the outside of the hull through the bolts. LED's are very low amperage so this works.

When you ordered that teak deck for the 226, did the brackets that you already had for the fiberglass platform work, or did you have to order the brackets that they have too??

I recently used cleaner, brightener, and oil on mine. Came out great.

The brackets on my 226 fiberglass platfrom work where they were, just used SS wood screws in place of the exsisting screws.

hey thanks jaybird for the link.. the wife and i just got a deck from FP and it had never been mounted on a boat before. it was in great condition like new with just a few minor spots that were easy to remove. this site is just Super for all info that you want.. thanks to jeff and all that help us all...

Jaybird- You can replace your black rubber for grey.. I have the same problem and thinking about having N3 replace it while they have it..
