Anyone else a little disappointed in the "up to" $3000 rebate on new Nautiques? i really thought with the state of the economy the rebate would have been much better.

RE: Winter Sales Event
I went to my dealer to put an order together on a 09 210
I thought this was a good time with the 3000.00 rebate.
I left very disappointed the prices that were ball-parked
verbally two months ago weren't even close when put on
paper. As for the rebate I was told 3000 is on new 07s
2000 on new 08s and 1000 for 09s. After dealer participation
of 400 Natique will give 600.00. It doesnt look like CC is
affected by the economy. I will have to rethink my decision to
order a 09 I'm now looking at clean 08s .

Even more disappointed after hearing that. The boat show offer they had last year was a lot better than this.'18 SAN 210 Reef Blue/Admiral Blue Metal Flake

I have a deal sitting on the table but decided to hold off so that we could apply the boat show rebate. $600 was hardly worth waiting for.'18 SAN 210 Reef Blue/Admiral Blue Metal Flake

RE: Winter Sales Event
I also have a deal waiting on a 2009 210 that I am pretty happy with. I e-mailed my dealer about the winter sales event and he said he would get back with me regarding what discounts I may be able to get. If I can get another $1,000 off what I'm at now I will be very pleased.

If your are trying to attract additional sales you will have to
sweeten the deal. Company's like Harley Davidson that in the past
named their own price and had buyers waiting on lists now have showrooms
full of new product. As far as I can see you can either lower
output and lay off employees or make the product more attractive
and sell more. You don't have to give anything away but there are
areas of a 7000.00 plus boat that can be adjusted to make the
boat order more attractive to make the order now. A 600.00 discount
doesn't do much to motivate me.[ check Supra, Moomba incentives.]
P.S. There is a Bayliner forum [BAYLINER owners club]

210 has the best all around wakes of any other brand. All I am saying is
if you are going to have a sales event then make it something special
The Winter Sales Event was a let down.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Winter Sales Event
I also own a 220 and I got to say that the consistent year-over-year price increases of v-drive boats has gotten out of control and I assume has led to a lot of "new boat" inventory. I bought a correct craft because I thought the engineering and practicality of the 220 was superior to other similar sized boats. I took hard looks at MasterCraft, Supra, Centurian, Tige, and Malibu, but the 220 fit my needs the best for what I was willing to pay. That said, the premium price of correct craft doesn't leave me with a sense of pride. The truth of it is v-drive boat prices have gotten out of control and if these manufacturers are not careful, they could be following the same path of U.S. auto. I assume most of us bought our boats because we are in to the outdoors, water in particular, and wished to spend time with our family and friends on the water not to own an expensive toy to show off to others. I know no one is suggesting that this is the case, my comments are solely based on the price of v-drives, which once again are not inline with market conditions and pretty much ridiculous.
