    2009 SN 196

The recent issue of the Waterskier in which the approved tow boats were announced it listed the 196 as a "new" model. Does anyone know what the changes are over the previous 196? Also, does anyone know whether the TBW has been improved over the 07-08 models? IMHO (feel free to disagree), the TBW had room to improve in the previous models.

    Thanks.

The magazine also shows a 196 that looks like an open bow. Is that a typo on a 206, or is OB196 a new option?

I am not aware of any changes to the hull on the 196 for 09 and I have one in my garage. TSC 3 hull.
Can't imagine they would offer an open bow version, everything in the 196 is so far forward there is not a whole heck of a lot of room.

Did they change the prop or were there any hp engine changes? I suppose any minor changes that don't involve the hull might have earned that tag.

My dealer told me this a few months ago that they are going to change both the 196 and 206 and have one hull with an open and closed bow ski 200 or something. Not sure if it is true or not but that is what they were told at a meeting in Orlando.

As far as the 2009 I would think a prop, engine or PP change.
