    220 SAN

New to Planet Nautique...thanks in advance for any feedback. Handful of questions...

Considering either a 05 210 SANTE or 07 220 SAN both with factory ballast.

    > Are there going to be major differences in the wake from an intermediate/advanced wakeboarding perspective?
    > Will one be better for wakesurfing?
    > Will my recreational slaloming days be over if I go down the path of the 220?
    > Any other thoughts or considerations?

Thanks again. I appreciate the feedback.

    RE: 220 SAN

the 210 wake is way better. i have an 05. rode my friends 220 weighted, messed with the hydrogate. wake is ok. rec. slaloming is pretty rough behind a v drive period. honestly i'd get an 03 210 team unless you want a newer boat. i wish i would have gotton an 03 since they are identical. go ask any nautique team rider and they will say 210 or 230 for the wake. what foot forward are you b/c after 05 the prop spins the other way and you surf on the port side.

      RE: 220 SAN

If you wakeboard with a small crew then the 210 hands down for the wake. If you crew is large or you take a ton of gear (ie. kids) then the 220 will be a good compromise. I have a buddy with an 06 220 and I have helped him put over 150 hours on it. The 210 is a pure vert wake machine that even if you are beginner you can ride it. You have to front load the ballast to mellow it out but it can be done. The 220 wake for surfing is incredible though. I have seen a monster wave not possible with a 210.

I personally do not slalom any more so I cant comment on it but a guy who used to compete has gotten a pull behind the 220 and said it was not bad. The 210 because of its smaller size would only make sense to be a little better.

        I agree with bchesley
it all comes down to your crew.
