Checking Interest - PlanetNautique Reunion in Orlando

I am considering setting up a PN Reunion this summer in Orlando. There are so many reasons to have an event in Orlando. The factory is there, the athletes are there, OWC is there, there are plenty of lakes around, there are plenty of things for families to do, etc.

So, would you be interested in attending a PN Reunion in Orlando this summer? This is just a thought at this point, so I don't have any details to offer yet. If there is interest, I'll move forward with getting some plans/details together.

Would love for that to happen. We live in Orlando and really miss the reunions that Southeast Correct Craft used to have at Sea World. Haven't asked the new dealership if they have any intentions of starting that up again. It would really be fun to get on the water with some other owners...the boats didn't ever get wet at the Sea World reunions (unless it rained). We're in!

I am with Cradsv on the location Orlando is about 1100 miles from me.

Yeah, there is no place that will be a good location for everyone. With a larger concentration of Nautique owners in the south, along with all of the other benefits I mentioned above, I think Orlando will be a great place for this event.

having a reunion at Green Lake Wisconsin in July it will draw the
northern group.

I also live in Orlando. Bird Island in the Butler Chain would be a good "wet" meeting place, less crowded in the cooler months. I belong to the Orange County Sportsman Assoc. in the chain of lakes, if we have a rough head count and date I can look into reserving the picnic pavillion.

Florida seems like the perfect place. I was really interested in the one planned at SML this past year, but combine 8 hours of driving through mostly mountainous terrain, and $4 a gallon for gas it just did not make sense to tug my boat that far. Orlando is pretty easy to get to from almost anywhere in the southeast plus it has lodging for every budget and tons of stuff to do when you're not boating (but really, why would you need anything else to do?). And hopefully it will be easy to get the people from Correct Craft to participate. Make it early and miss the heat or make it late and see the 2010 models.

I am thinking September, 2009. We'll get to see the 2010 models that way, and we'll probably (hopefully) miss the extreme heat too. Anyone have thoughts about that time of year? Will kids being in school reduce the number of participants that we will get?

Maybe August would be better, even though we'd probably be dealing with some heat.

Sounds like it could be fun. I agree being able to get in boats and test drive would be best - very cool
You could rent Camp Down on Lake Down. Lots of Lake Front - BBQ Grills - Lots of parking - private boat launch/ramp - AC "house" - it is on the Butler Chain of lakes, can make a run to Bird Island and evening cruise to watch Walt Disney Fireworks....
Timing would be cool it the kids were not in school - summer time for people who may travel.
