September is just as hot as August - You can rent the pavillion at the sportsmans club but non members will not be allowed to launch boats there - Going from Lake Down to Butler will be an issue for some as the bridge is very low.

I would consider early summer versus later summer - if it is anything like this past summer it was nice all summer not as hot as the 2007 summer with very low water.

There is a public boat launch at R.D. Keene Park on Lake Iselworth. Short trip to bird Island.

Get there early so you do not have to put up with the folks who cannot get launched in reasonable time (one minute).

Hey Jeff, I am heading over to the Orlando area from the UK for my summer vacation and should be there late August through to early September, so count me in if it happens around that period. I had not planned on taking my ski on this visit but I guess this is just the excuss I needed to chuck in.

I live on the Butler Chain so I'll definitely be there. I also think Bird Island would be a proper meeting point. The sportsman club is nice, but depending on how many people with boats you have, there's only room for about 10-15 boats back to back to be moored against the dock. It is the most family friendly though with a playground for the kids and a covered picnic area.

If anyone wants to dock off at Keene's point, and then make the short 15 min trek over two lakes it'll be nice and you'll get to enjoy the scenery. Anyone who isn't obligated with kids is also more than welcome to come hangout at my home afterwards with additional food/beer/drinks. I have more than enough room for boats to pull up to my dock or beach it on my shore. I live one lake over -- next to the sportsman club.

Parker, the water levels rose almost two feet towards the end of the summer. For a short while we were concerned we wouldn't be able to pull into the dock without putting the tower down. :shock:

They have come up a lot since the summer of 07 - I would walk the boat through the water under chase rd because it was so low - 2008 water levels were excellent

The family is intrigued, but we would need to see some more details. Dragging the boat from OH would be a chore but the concept sounds fun.

Would love for that to happen. We live in Orlando and really miss the reunions that Southeast Correct Craft used to have at Sea World. Haven't asked the new dealership if they have any intentions of starting that up again. It would really be fun to get on the water with some other owners...the boats didn't ever get wet at the Sea World reunions (unless it rained). We're in!

SWCC had nothing to do with that other than being the regionel shop at the time that was all done Corporate, might have had some help from people at SWCC but they where not the organizers.

Also if your going to do it in sept then it will be more of an adult event as school will be in season for most and most are pretty broke after paying fees to the various schools to attend.
