What is the best kind of bimini to get for a 2008 206 with a tower?? How about a custom boat cover for this boat?? Any input will be greatly appreciated.

but my pic didn't show for me. If it is no there, I can repost.
Here is a pic of the factory cover....forgot the brand but others will know it. I usually don't travel with the cover on....this one trip was a 30 mile exception.

I have a "Tower Bimini" brand on my 206, it is an awesome unit, fits super tight, no flapping or rattling at all. The under tower looks way better IMO, some say they are head bangers but once you get used to it being there it will not be an issue and it will definitely keep you totally shaded, mine is really big and keeps driver and passenger totally shaded.
Regarding the cover, some things to consider are if the boat will be stored under cover (roof) or not, if it will be on a lift or tied to a dock and also how much trailering you will be doing. Be sure and look at how the cover goes around the tower legs as well, some designs can be tedious and time consuming to install. Personally like my cover to also cover the platform. The dealer put snaps under my rub rail, only about 5 per side, was not too thrilled about it at first but they are hardly visible and really keep the cover on and tight, the Velcro and draw strings around my tower legs are a real PITA and make installing a bit time consuming.
Click the link below for some pic's of my boat with the Bimini installed.

I also have the tower bimini brand, under the tower, and it works well and is very solid. And I purchased the rankin cover. I travel about 250 miles one way a few times per summer and this cover is great. It takes some effort to get on and off but it fits very well and serves it's purpose. Both of these items were purchased through a group buy on this website, so keep your eyes out to see if there is any interest from other members about a group buy.

Thanks for the help. Boat goes in the water tomorrow and then on a lift for the season. The sun kills the boat more than the ran.

Under the tower is the way to go! Over the tower has a center console fishing boat look in my opinion.2005 Ski Nautique 206 SE, Acme 422, PP SG 8.0, ND Tower

I appreciate the help. I purchased a 2008 206. It came with the tower. Not sure if I want the tower but regardless it has one. A bimini is a must on Lake Murray. I will order the bimini next week. Now if I could only sell my 97 SNOB. Maintained well, ready to go. Due to travels with job, I am giving a third party a chance to sell it in a week or so.......price will go up for his service. Boat needs to go to a good skiing family.
