    Raleigh Boat Show

Went to the Raleigh boat show today. Seemed smaller than normal, but Whitelake had a good presence. They have a b/w 216v and I'm not crazy about the decal on the side but the FCT3 tower in black on the b/w boat looked pretty good. We lowered the tower on a 210 and it was about 8 1/2 feet clearance. The engine vent at the window is interesting.

Talked to the CC Rep about skiing behind the 216v. He said it was pretty good for a V-drive, but not as good as the 211 or the DD's. He said it had a pretty good wakeboard wake. Also, the 226 is coming and is a bigger version of the 216v.

And as for skiing behind the 211, he independently confirmed adding weight in the front. He also mentioned some 'bricks' you could buy and fill with water and would be about 50 lbs apiece. Might look into that.

    RE: Raleigh Boat Show

Just went today. Nice boat show...not as big, but nice. Noticed that the dealership for Mastercraft at the show had a $25,000 "Cash Rewards Rebate" on their boat. I didn't inquire, but that really looked fisssshhhhy. Has anyone else seen this?
    Peace..

There is a long thread on this site about the fishy rebate.

Malibu also had posted the $10K for the repo boats from the California dealer(s) that shut down.

Interesting thing about the Mastercraft dealer setup: the Mastercrafts were buried and I didn't even see them until I got a bird's eye view of the floor. Guess they were pushing the cheaper stuff.

Wonder what's gonna be at the second boat show at the fairgrounds next month?

          RE: Raleigh Boat Show

I went for a few hours on Saturday. White Lake had a great setup as did the Malibu dealer. WL brought a 216v, 210, 211, and 206 that were all 2009 models. Boats Unlimited had the Mastercrafts hidden and like SkiTower said, I didn't notice them until I went up to the second level to leave. They also didn't have any 2009 models, just left over 2008s that were way overpriced.

I'm not sure how different the fairgrounds show will be. I know WL will not be bringing any Moombas because Grandpas has exclusive Moomba rights at that show. If they plan to bring six boats again I'm guessing there will be a few more Nautiques on display. I was surprised to not see a 230/236 because WL has a few in stock. I may go volunteer with WL for a day at the next show.

Man, I wasn't planning to go to the fairgrounds show. Now that WL will be there I'll have to make my way there.

Both. They made one for him last year. Generated a lot of buzz so they made a select few to put on the market. Looks cool but I would never want a boat with someone elses name all over it.

Sorry to state the obvious, if you have a Nautique, you have a boat with someone elses name on it.

Sure it want to be literal about it.

But c'mon. Quite the difference between a standard off the line Nautique and the Byerly when it comes to a name all over the boat. Nautique is a brand, not a person's name.
