Nautique Reunion in Northeast Indiana?

Not sure if this topic has ever been mentioned or not. Has anyone tried to assemble a Nautique reunion in Steuben County (Angola)?

With Midwest Correct Craft, Clear Lake Marina, and 101 lakes in our county (not all skiable) seems like a no brainer.

With the CCF reunion somewhat close, I think that region of the country is covered. Their reunions sound like a great time.

I'm with WUSS... I know they seem somewhat close, but for anyone in ohio, ky, etc. it's a much longer pull to get to WI. Heck, it's north of Chicago, even!! Does sound like a good time, though...

Have trailer will travel. Just name a lake and a date and the NAUTIQUE's will come. Heck, we could even have a cook out. Everyone is always welcome on our lake, I love to see the BU's and MC cringe!!!

I have no idea how to interpret that statement.

GL is a blast. All types of people attend- young, old, families, etc. A great time is had by all. It generally involves boating, skiing, eating, drinking, and hanging out. If that doesnt appeal to you, then maybe you shouldnt attend! Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

Wow is right, also a bit taken back by that statement.

Have attended the Green Lake and East coast CCFan events with my 9yr old daughter, we both have had nothing but fun while coming away with some great memories and new friends, lot's of families, single people, young and old, and all smiling and laughing throughout.

Does boating still fall under the category "Recreation"???

Please dont take that the wrong way but what I read on CCF is boozing and up all night in party area in camp sites. I am just to old for that stuff. I am sure there are mellow times too but the all night parting and boozing just isnt what I am into. I like to camp but prefer to not be around that scene.

The CCF reunion is a family event. Yes, some people drink beer, and some go to the town bar and stay out late. Just as many are hitting the ice cream shop with their kids.
Of the more than 120 people who attended last year, about 3/4 were families including kids.

We have attendees ranging in age from my 8 month old daughter to one gentlemen now 75 years old who has attended each year. Ken Meloon, the chairman of Correct Craft attended last year, and he clearly does not drink. There are a couple of members who admit publicly that they they are alcoholics, members of AA, and no longer drink, and yet they don't seem to have any problem in the environment. I think you've read too much into the party aspect of the environment.


The event features a cookout for the families on Friday night, and a dinner/awards banquet on Saturday night. The last two years, Adam Wensik, a tour pro has pulled kids behind his boat all day long giving them tips, etc. The first two years, Mike Seipel provided barefoot clinics. Sking, boarding, surfing, pyramids, four man barefoot lines,
and at least 40-50 Correct Crafts ranging from 1950s era woodies to the latest promo
boat driven by Adam Wensik.

There are also plenty of hotel rooms. However, the rooms closest to the boat ramp, etc. are filling up quickly.

Perhaps I read a little too much into that partying comments made on CCF. It sounds like it could be a lot of fun. How big is this lake that they go to? Big enough to accomodate all these incoming boats comfortably?
