I checked a couple of site on the web and it appears that the lake is non-motorized craft only. Many of the mountain lakes in NC are like that. Copied this from the NC Wildlife web site:
"Only vessels, with electric motors, sailboats, canoes and paddleboats are permitted on Crystal, Silver, Mirror, Sapphire or Diamond Lakes. Class A violation."
There are numerous lakes in NC that are great for water sports - Falls, Gaston , Kerr, Hyco, Harris, to name a few.
Thanks. Well, I'm glad I tore up my silent auction bid at the B&B my wife wanted to stay at on Mirror Lake. Sure would have been boring looking at water you can't run a boat in. Looks like its Kerr for us if we go.
