just like the 80s when the auto mfgs had the digital dashes in the fiero, firebird, corvette, and now analog is all the rage in cars. give it a few years and the boat mfgs will launch a new revolutionary analog dash.

For whoever asked about gauge reading mechanisms, the computer is likely taking resistance readings from each tank delivered by a sending unit.

Sorry to all that are head over heals for this technology but that dash is butt-f*ing ugly. Why do boats have to look like com. center 1 when it would be much easier and cheaper to relay most of this information in other ways? We go to great lengths on our lake to reduce any interior light while night boating (illumination kill switch, overheat and warning buzzers vs. the annoying "everything is o.k." light, below rail nav. lights, etc.), why would anyone want all this crap in their boat that is not only susceptible to h20 but gaudy and expensive? Crap like this only drives boat prices up while shifting r&d towards mechanical engineering and away from innovative hull designs. If you want to be blown away by an electronic masterpiece crack open your iphone 4, the technology on these boats is nothing new it's just gimmicky. I'll take my '99 NSS with nice, clean, retina-friendly Airguides any day.

Good luck, Airguide has gone under. I like the idea of simple gauges. What happens when my stereo dies like it does every three years or 10 years from now when your trying to replace that screen. I hope we get the option of upgrading so some of us can stay with traditional dashes.

If we get stuck with these electronic systems, the dash needs to be redesigned so fillers can be inserted and recut to insert newer equipment.

Anyone hear anything about how the engines are performing, namely if they are holding up as well as the very reliable PCMs?

I've been stockpiling Airguides like a little analog squirrel. Getting ready for the digital apocalypse.

Even the high end sports cars, use digital screens for information and mph along with the analog gauges ,much easier to look down and see one number ( 65) then to find it on the analog gauge. I think the salt water CC series engine is made by pcm, just called crusader to distinguish from their fresh water engines.
