Who did you contact? White Lake told me $500 for the Poly-Guard. I have a 2000 Air but it should not be THAT different.

I emailed Marine Machine in Cornelius and got an email back from Michael Morgan. That was for just the cover itself, no support bars, etc. Maybe that's the difference.

Does anybody know this cover, it is about half the price quoted by Rankin for my 216.

mndanielsncsu, I don't know exactly what was included in my quote, but the girl I spoke to at Carver said they have various support poles but it didn't sound like they actually installed them. She said I'd have to take it to a shop (or do it myself) and make cutouts. She did say they would still honor the warranty if done properly. It's starting to sound like this may end up costing as much as a Coversports or Rankin.

When i bought my boat i was in a bit of a tight spot. It didn't come with a cover, so I had to get one quickly. I ordered a custom fit cover from overton's for the time being until I could have one made with snaps. I've had it for over a year now, and i'm going to stick with it. It is completely formed to fit around my bow and platform, and has trailer straps along with velcro closures around the tower. I have no problem trailering it, and it is simple to get on. It only leaves the bottom foot of the hull exposed, so i am very pleased with it. It has also held up extremely well for the price I paid for it. I think it was like 350 bucks or something.

aarond0083...did you ever get a new cover for your 210? I'm curious about the quality, fit and trailerability.

mndanielsncsu, do you have a tower? I wonder if that's why the quote was less. Did you get a cover yet?

I do have a tower, Monster brand. I didn't mention that when I got my quote, because I assumed it didn't make a difference. They didn't appear to have different covers to cope with the tower. I haven't bought one yet because I've been tackling some other projects on the boat before we finally get some nice weekends - damper plate, plugs, fuel filter, fuel sending unit, etc.

                  You bought one yet?

No, I was set on ordering the carver but can't help thinking it won't meet my expectations. I think it's because my last cover was super nice and it's been great protection for the boat. This new cover won't cover my tower and won't include side skirts, but it's cheaper. Most people I talk to say you get what you pay for. The Carver will probably be fine but it may not be exactly what I want.

I just received the custom carver cover cover for my 210 with Titan tower. This is an awesome cover and it really fits the boat well. Love the black too. The only thing I can say bad about it is the side coverage isn't great. Stops right below the rub rail. Not really an issue for me because I store my boat in a garage. Keeping the dust out of the interior is all I really need to accomplish.

Sure. I will most some tonight.

It does cover the entire platform.

Have you towed with the cover on? They said you can, but I'd really like to know what it's like at 70 mph.

No, I never tow with a cover as I never go more than 60 miles one way. If I ever have a longer road trip I may try it. This cover uses tie straps that loop around the trailer to hold it down. It fits very snug without those so I imagine it would tow pretty decent. Not going to be as good as the snap on covers but most people dont want the buttons all over the boat that those covers require.

Here are pictures of the Carver cover in the new poly material. Super light weight, breathable, and very strong. I prefer it to the Sunbrella covers I've had in the past.
