Any recommendations to repair cracking vinyl seats? My back bench seats are starting to crack, especially around the corners of the cushions. Is there some kind of product I could use?

The best thing to do is just replace them. If the vinyl is cracking, it is toast and will continue to crack. Need to replace. She is done.Comment

Once you replace, use Aerospace 303 to protect the new vinyl. Use it to protect your old vinyl that you do not replace as well. For cleaning (and to avoid or stave off future cracking), do not use harsh products, do not use Magic Erasers (which always appear to work great, but is actually a micro-abrasive and a big no-no), do not use silicone-based cleaners, do not use bleach, do not use 409, etc. Use only what CC recommends in their manual or ePHx, which is made by or at least officially approved by the company that makes the vinyl for CC boats.Now

Hmmm, there has to be something out there that can stop the cracks from further degradation. The vinyl is starting to crack around the bottom corners, and it is not visible unless you remove the cushions. I figure there has to be something out there that will stop and/or protect the cushion from further cracking in the area, such as rubber cement, or something. Or at least will extend its life.... Any further thoughts?Comment

The vinyl is cracking because you have cleaned plasticizers out of it that keep it flexable, or a previous owner did. Once the plasticizers are removed, you cannot put them back. Vinyl replacement is probably your best fix.Comment
