Why EZ Loader trailers are the best---

1. Customer service---one call to them regarding warrantying a broken tongue jack had a replacement jack on the way the same day, not some lame run around about take your boat into your local dealer whom will tell you that they don't do trailer work in the first place.

2. Performance---make a trailer that tows, launches and loads a 236 five times easier than your competitors 220 trailer

3. Quality---assemble the trailer with components that fit, have no play, and dont fall off

4. Value---Offer a better product than your competitors for the same price

5. Integrity---Cover the cost of warranty repairs rather than trying to avoid the issue and causing me not to be able to use my boat.

If it is appropriate to air grievances for one company's lack of effort, I feel it is appropriate to applaud a company that has set and operates at a higher standard than its competitors. Job well done EZ Loader, I only wish I had to the opportunity to tow both of my boats w/ an Illusion trailer....

EZ Loader trailers

I wish we had the same luck with our trailers. We have two EZ Loaders under two 196's at my site (2007 and 2008). The trailers are rusting (even though they're under cover), the bunk carpet is worn is several locations due to bad design and one of the uprights is angled differently than the other (out past the fender) so it is difficult to park in a garage. The welds are not finished properly (causing some of the rusting). Also, the brakes are not functioning on my trailer even though the fluid reservoir is full. I'll admit that I haven't approached them about these issues but will give them an opportunity to resolve. Just seems to be a lot of issues for a trailer that is less than two year's old. I've had Dorsey, Ram Lin and Correct Craft trailers in the past. The Dorsey trailers were the best.

I too am not pleased with my ezloader trailer. My old boat had a ezloader and the fenders were starting to rust. It was a 2007. The tail lights are cheap as they get, they do look nice but......Ive only pulled my boat once this year so Im sure its only time before it starts to rust too

which ez loader do you guys have? mine is the illusion w/ stainless fenders, so no chance of rusting there.

My Dorsey is built like a tank. Their service and prices for replacement parts is tough to beat as well.

I went with Boatmate after checking the web for comments and problems with different trailers.
So far great service and outstanding workmanship. Also they custom build to your specs. Give them a call ask for Warren .

Go to a HD or Lowes with a refrigerator magnet and see how many stick to staineless steel appliances.

My 1997 Ski sits on a Ryan trailer. It is locally made, and I believe it is one of the best trailers available. My boat has over 1975 hours on it, and it is not moored. I make several trips a week to the water during the Summer, and so I have probably used my trailer a lot more than most.

I'm also wondering why the factory stainless steel exhaust system on my 1996 Fleetwood is rusting out...

unless it's 303 it's not the stainless steel that rust it's the surface contamination from the manufacturing process that gets embeded on the surface that is actually rusting that's why you passivate stainless steel to remove it and it will never rust.

ever seen a surgical instrument rust? it won't unless they made it from 303.

because it's seamed welded and not passivated. still will outlast aluminized or galvenized pipe three times as long

There are many grades of stainless steel. Chromium it the metallic element added to steel to make stainless steel, but chromium is a very expensive metal. Vanadium is another metal element used in stainless, also expensive.
Steel alloys get their strength from the amount of carbon in the alloy. Unfortunately, higher carbon steel alloys tend to rust easier. Many of the lower grades of stainless steel have fairly low carbon amounts in the alloy, so that a minimum of of the more expensive elements are needed to make the steel "rustproof"
The exhaust system on my 1996 Ford Aerostar seems to be doing just fine, but in Oregon, they do not salt the roads in the winter.
