93 SN closed bow-can u add bow ballast?

a good friend of mine just bought a 93 SNCB (+1 CC in the water!!) and I didn't see the boat yet. I was wondering, is it possible to add bow balast in a closed bow sn? I have never been in a closed bow nautique and I have never seen pictures of the ''storage unit'' underneath the hard shell

    thanks in advance
ps. we're getting 12'' of snow right now....yaay.

The jump seat flips up and you can access the bow. Keep in mind: that's pretty much your only storage. I also don't know how well it will stay in place.

In the old days, I used to keep 4 tightly wrapped sand tubes up there. Total cost would be under $20 for
240-280lbs. Available at any hardware store up where you are. With the cost of lead or steel, plus shipping it does make some sense.

thanks for the pictures, much appreciated!
            I'll let him know.
god I don't think I could survive a day on the water with so little storage... but I understand that for skiing , it's the best choice out there.
