Hull Fins

I noticed today that my fins under my hull appear to be bent a little on my '01 SAN. There are 3 fins. If they were perfectly aligned on a center axis, the gap between the center axis and the one that is off-axis is about 0.25". Should I get this looked after? Boat performance doesn't seem to be affected.

I bet I know how this happened - I got perched on a rock while drifting last summer. The current wedged the boat up on the rock.

They can be replaced pretty easily. I had to replace mine on my '94 SN. Six screws and some 5200 and you're in business. Back when I did mine, they were about $100 each from the dealer.

I do know that they can be straightened. Well at least the ones on my 88' could. One was bent over about a 45' angle. I was able to straighten it out to almost true. May want to give it a try before you pluck down $100.
