Did anyone make it to the boat show this weekend? What does White Lake have on display? Any word on sales activity at the show?

I went Friday evening. Traffic was very slow. Hopefully it picked up over the weekend.

White Lake had the following boats at their display.

2009 Byerly 210
2009 210
2009 206
2009 216v
2008 220
2008 230

The Malibu/Moomba dealer had seven between the two brands and Boats Unlimited brought four MasterCrafts. Supra, Centurion, and Tige were there as well.

White Lake had a fire at their Graham store last week. A couple of their new boats that they had planned to bring to the show were in the shop where the fire started. Probably why they had the 08's there.

Definitely a good looking boat and it was cool to see the detail up close in person. However, I would never buy a boat like that and I think the 10K upcharge over a standard Team is too much. SkiTower, did you make it to the boat show? What did you think?

Show room wasn't affected by the fire. Only one boat was damaged and that was a customer's boat. The 08 230 was there because they do not have any 2009 230s in the inventory and I am guessing the 08 220 was there to try and move at a deal. They do have one 2009 220 in stock at WL but the lower price of the 08 would be an easier sale, especially in current market conditions.

Nope, didn't make it. We had too much going on and I didn't push it because I went to the other one. Is it their boat or just on loan? I'm heading down there the week of March 23rd, maybe I'll see it then.

The boat came from either IL or IA, can't remember which one. From my understanding tt is loaned out for boat shows and will be returned to the dealer that ordered it if it isn't sold at a show so I don't think WL will have it end of March.

I know that HQ marine in Lake Norman has a Byerly boat that they ordered. I would think White lake would of ordered one also but I understand in this market that is going to be really hard to sell so I cant blame them. I checked out both at both shows and would have to give the upper hand to the one at Charlotte it was on a Nicer Trailer and overall just stuck out more.

Funny you mention the trailer.

David from White Lake told me he wanted to bring the Byerly to the show on my trailer because it was the nicest one they had on hand. Tandem Prestige in black with stainless fenders and chrome wheels. Since it was sold they didn't use it. I told him I wouldn't have cared if he used it. One trip from WL to Raleigh trip isn't going to put any wear on the tires.

haha, that is funny. I personally wouldnt get one of these if I ordered a boat I dont think....I just dont need it really.

But if you think about it, when your spending 60,000+ you might as well fix up the trailer, haha...I worked at High Rock boat dock last summer and and helping with the boat shows with Tige's and I have no idea why but the dealer ordered them but most of those boats come on blinged trailers
